Y-MOT, INC. was established as a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization in May 2007, although the original program was created in 1996 under the umbrella of New Nonconnah Church and the Urban Youth Initiative.

Y-MOT was a ministry of the Memphis Leadership Foundation between the year 2000 - 2006.
